The NEC Liederabend series presents songs in a variety of languages—not only German—dating from the 19th century up to the present day.

Each year, an audition committee of professional musicians and faculty selects a few exceptional student ensembles to represent the NEC Honors Ensemble Program. The ensembles work with a faculty coach and are given an opportunity to perform a spring recital.

Movement for Singers is a workshop geared towards singers and those who would describe themselves as "singers first."
