By Car, Air, and Train

NEC is located at 33 Gainsborough Street, Boston, MA 02115.

From North of Boston

  • Take I-93 south to exit #26 (Storrow Drive). 
  • Follow Storrow Drive to the Kenmore Square/Fenway exit, and bear to the left towards Fenway. 
  • Go to the first light and bear left to Boylston Street Inbound. 
  • Go to the third light, which is Massachusetts Avenue, and turn right. 
  • Go to the fourth light, which is Huntington Avenue, and turn right. 
  • Go one block to the next light, which is Gainsborough Street, and turn left.

From West of Boston

  • Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) east to Exit 22.
  • Stay left to the Prudential exit and surface onto Huntington Avenue. Continue straight through the light, going under or crossing Massachusetts Avenue.
  • Turn left at the traffic light onto Gainsborough Street.

From South of Boston

  • Take I-93 north to exit 18 (Massachusetts Avenue) and continue north for six blocks. 
  • Turn left just before the white Symphony Towers onto St. Botolph Street.
  • Continue one block to Gainsborough Street.

Limited street parking is available on Gainsborough Street, St. Botolph Street, Huntington Avenue, and St. Stephen Street. Most meters are active Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Pay with coins, card, or the Park Boston mobile app.

There are limited city-designated handicapped parking spaces near NEC.

  • Two spaces next to the entrance to NEC’s Jordan Hall at 290 Huntington Avenue
  • Two spaces on Huntington Avenue outside the Cohen entrance to Symphony Hall
  • One space on St. Stephen Street next to the backstage entrance to Symphony Hall

NEC is located ½ mile from the Ruggles commuter rail station, which is a stop on the Franklin/Foxboro, Needham, and Providence/Stoughton lines. 
If arriving by train at North Station or South Station, use the subway, bus, or taxi/rideshare to get to NEC.
