The Collegiate Music Outreach Network (C’MON!) is a loosely affiliated consortium of colleagues who administrate community outreach initiatives involving students at conservatories and schools of music in the US and abroad. Focused on exchanging ideas, networking, and generally advancing the development of community engagement arts programming at the collegiate level, C’MON hosts an annual symposium, and provides a forum for sharing information throughout the year.
These gatherings are an exciting chance to exchange ideas, network, and generally advance the community engagement work in conservatories and schools of music in the United States and abroad.
We are excited to announce that this year, in an effort to connect with our career and entrepreneurship colleagues who will be attending the NETMCDO Conference in New York on May 21-22, that the C'MON Symposium will take place on Thursday, May 23 at The New School in Arnhold Hall, 55 W 13th Street.
Conference topics will include:
- Program Overviews from Participating Schools
- Creating Community Engagement Curriculum
- Building and Maintaining Community Partnerships
- Redefining Success for 21st Century Musicians
More detailed information and schedule forthcoming. See schedule for C'MON 2019 below.
