At his home in New York, composer Chou Wen-chung was presented with an honorary doctorate by NEC President Andrea Kalyn.

NEC's Erica J. Washburn and the Chamber Singers welcomed the Eureka Ensemble Women's Chorus, comprised of women experiencing homelessness, for a joint master class in Jordan Hall, co-led by Women's Chorus co-founder Kristo Kondakçi ’13, ’15 MM.

The U.S. Department of State has named NEC a top producing institution for Fulbright U.S. students. Recent graduates Mona Sangesland and Elise Kolle are pursuing Fulbright studies in Finland and Sweden.

Alumna So Young Park sang the Queen of the Night at the Metropolitan Opera in Julie Taymor's beloved production of The Magic Flute.

NEC Prep alumnus Eric Lu wins First Prize and the Terence Judd Hallé Orchestra Prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition

NEC alumnus Luke Hsu ’14 MM, ’16 GD took third prize at the 10th Quadrennial International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. Hsu completed both a Master of Music and a Graduate Diploma at NEC as a student of Donald Weilerstein.
