A Way Forward: Toward Greater Musical Diversity
In three concerts, NEC students are presenting piano pieces by musicians who studied or taught at New England Conservatory. This includes music by J. Rosamond Johnson, Florence Price, Cecil Taylor, Ferruccio Busoni, Chou Wen-chung, Amy Beach, Halim El-Dabh, and many others. This music by a remarkably diverse group of artists is a platform for considering how NEC's legacy can connect to the future.
