NEC's students meet one-on-one each week with a faculty artist to perfect their craft. As each one leaves NEC to make their mark in the performance world, they present a full, professional recital that is free and open to the public. It's your first look at the artists of tomorrow.

Kabir Adhiya-Kumar '22 studies Jazz Drums with Nasheet Waits, Billy Hart, Jason Palmer, Cecil McBee, Jerry Leake, and Frank Carlberg

This performance is open to in-person audiences, and can also be viewed via livestream.

    I would like to thank
    my parents
    for supporting my dream of pursuing music as a career path
    and always pushing me to do better.

    my friends
    for encouraging me and humbling me at the same time;
    they have kept me grounded in what has been a very chaotic but insightful 4 years.

    all of my teachers,
    whose perspective and wisdom
    has allowed me to discover what I’m truly capable of.
