The following 11 semifinalists selected from candidates of Australia, Canada, China, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, and USA of age up to 35 will be heard in the Semi-Final Round on August 19, 2023, 1 pm at  Williams Hall.

Jury of the Semifinal and Final Rounds (alphabetically): Bruce Brubaker, Richard Dyer, Michael Lewin, Sergey Schepkin, and Channing Yu.  Each candidates will play up to 20 min solo repertoire plus a 5 min orchestra excerpt announced 2 days prior. Up to 5 semifinalists will be advanced to Final Round on Sunday 8/20, 7:30 pm at Williams Hall.

First prize: USD $5,000, performing with Mercury Orchestra on August 26, 2023 at NEC's Jordan Hall, and a returning solo recital at Summer FREE Concerts @ NEC 2024 with additional compensation.
Second prize: USD $2,000
Third prize: USD $1,000

Both Semifinal (Saturday Aug 19, 1 pm) and Final (Sunday Aug 20, 7:30 pm) Rounds are open to the public. Admission is Free. Suggested donation $10 at door. Children under 6 not admitted.
