Recital: Talia Rubenstein '22 MM, Jazz Guitar

NEC: Burnes Hall | Directions

255 St. Botolph St.
Boston, MA
United States

NEC's students meet one-on-one each week with a faculty artist to perfect their craft. As each one leaves NEC to make their mark in the performance world, they present a full, professional recital that is free and open to the public. It's your first look at the artists of tomorrow.

Talia Rubenstein '22 MM studies Jazz Guitar and has worked with Joe Morris, Frank Carlberg, Dominique Eade, Ran Blake, and Julian Lage.

This performance is open to in-person audiences, and can also be viewed via livestream.

  11. This is a collection of songs I like to sing.
    While they are at
    most Jazz-adjacent,
they’ve been informed and inspired by my studies at NEC.

I am so lucky to have been surrounded by teachers and friends
who have encouraged me to continue developing my music in this direction.
Particularly, I’d like to thank my studio teachers:
Joe Morris, Frank Carlberg, Dominique Eade, Ran Blake, and Julian Lage.

This is a recital for the completion of my Master’s degree,
but really, it’s for my parents, for Dan, Addy, my roommates,
(including Buddie and Winnie, who couldn’t make it)
my friends, and for Grandma Nancy, of course.

    And for me, too!
It’s a treat to play with this band.
