NEC celebrates the 100th anniversary of Nat King Cole’s birth with a concert featuring the combined forces of the NEC Jazz Orchestra and members of the NEC Philharmonia. Pieces will include many of Cole’s biggest hits, among them “Lush Life,” “Mona Lisa,” “Nature Boy,” “St. Louis Blues,” and “Walking My Baby Back Home.”

Freddy Cole ’56, hon. DM ’12, Nat King Cole’s brother and an NEC alum, will join the ensemble as a special guest.

Cole will also play a set with his quartet, joined by son Lionel Cole.
