8:15 pm - Zaleski MONK Ensemble

This ensemble explores the work of one of the most influential improvisers of the 20th century. Students will do in-depth listening and will work together to perform Monk’s original works and improvise in his style. If time permits, students may also bring in their own pieces inspired by Monk.

9:30 pm - Morris CI Ensemble

This ensemble explores the methodologies Harmolodics, Unit Structures, Tri-Axiom Theory, and European Free Improvisation. The goal is to build skills and foster individual creativity in the open-form music setting using specific methods and materials.
