Gunther Schuller Legacy: Masterclass
This year's tribute to former NEC President Gunther Schuller features the revival of the Grammy-winning New England Conservatory Ragtime Ensemble. In this masterclass, visiting New England Conservatory Ragtime Ensemble alumni will share insights of ragtime style, performance history, and ensemble experience with current students in the NEC Contemporary Improvisation Ensemble using 2 works of the pioneering ragtime master Scott Joplin—”Sugar Cane“ and ”The Ragtime Dance.“
The masterclass is free and open to the public, and will be livestreamed.
