Bach, The Late Cello Suites with Emmanuel Feldman

Following his 2015 performance of the complete Bach Solo Cello Suites at NEC and Tufts University, cellist Emmanuel Feldman presents the last three cello Suites by Johann Sebastian Bach, Suites #4 in E flat BWV 1010, #5 in C minor BWV 1011 and Bach's final cello suite #6 in D major, BWV 1012 in Williams Hall, NEC.  

The late suites represent Bach's most sophisticated and personal writing for solo cello that progressively and musically brings the Suites to a triumphant conclusion with the symphonic and expansive 6th Suite.  Mr. Feldman's previous performances of the Bach Suites in his Marquee Celebrity Series of Boston debut was called "superb" by the Boston Globe.  Discussion and question and answer session to follow the conclusion of the concert.
