New England Conservatory’s Touring Children’s Opera is an annual collaboration between the Community Performances and Partnerships Department and Opera Department. The Opera Department designs a condensed version (approximately 40 minutes) of an opera in English that is presented to elementary schools throughout the Boston area each year, reaching close to 2000 children. This year’s production will feature the story of "Little Red Riding Hood" by Seymour Barab. We are delighted to offer one performance that is open to the public on Saturday, October 28th at 10am in the Plimpton-Shattuck Black Box Theatre. We would love to see you there!

This free community performance of our annual Touring Children's Opera features NEC's graduate opera students.
