The program features music by composers who are not very well known, but deserve to be performed and appreciated more. Louise Farrenc wrote her trio mid 19th century, very reminiscent of Mendelssohn. Philippe Gaubert's music reflects the paintings of the early 20th century with its impressionistic colors and gestures. Jean-Michel Damase wrote his Sonata mid 20th century, and we hear influences of Stravinsky and Hindemith in this neoclassical piece.
