Recital: Qi Liang '23 MM, Piano
NEC's students meet one-on-one each week with a faculty artist to perfect their craft. As each one leaves NEC to make their mark in the performance world, they present a full, professional recital that is free and open to the public. It's your first look at the artists of tomorrow.

Xiaofeng Jiang | The Clouds Tailor
Program note
Clouds elude words to capture their form and sound,
Yet their movements, whispered by the wind, could be collected by ears.Imagine the performer as a skilled tailor cutting and shaping clouds to sew unique patterns and shapes into the sky. The Clouds Tailor outlines a journey through the sky, from gazing up at drifting clouds to flying above the mist and fog to peering down at the colorful underside of clouds illuminated by the sun.
