Recital: Nicholas Biagini '23 MM, Jazz Saxophone

NEC: Pierce Hall | Directions

241 St. Botolph St.
Boston, MA
United States

NEC's students meet one-on-one each week with a faculty artist to perfect their craft. As each one leaves NEC to make their mark in the performance world, they present a full, professional recital that is free and open to the public. It's your first look at the artists of tomorrow.

Nicholas Biagini '23 MM studies Jazz Saxophone with Melissa Aldana and has worked with Jerry Bergonzi, Donny McCaslin, Miguel Zenón, Frank Carlberg, and Brian Levy.  He is the recipient of the Henry T. and Mary W. Dunham Scholarship.

His recital repertory will include works by Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, and Nick Biagini.  Joining Nick on stage will be Zack Bacak, saxophone; Chris Ferrari, clarinet and saxophone; Mark Tipton and Simone Trovato, trumpet; Michael Gerace, trombone; Jordan Jenifor, tuba; Keegan Marshall-House, piano; Mitch Selib, guitar; Ben Friedland and Leo Weisskoff, bass; Caleb Montague and Alex Yoo, drums; and Hyeonseon Baek, voice.

This is an in-person event with a private stream available to the NEC community here: https://necmusic.edu/live
