Musical Theatre Evening

Join the Opera Studies Department for an evening of songs from the Golden Age of Broadway.

The era of Musical Theatre 1943-1965 is rooted in classical vocal production. Many singers who originated these shows were classically trained, beginning their careers as opera singers. Tin Pan Alley composers would write for those who best demonstrated a classical sound.

This program features performances by 2nd Year Graduates of the Opera Studies Department.
