Handel + Haydn Society Presents: Mozart + Mendelssohn

NEC: Jordan Hall | Directions

290 Huntington Ave.
Boston, MA
United States

The gaiety, humor, sparkle—and a little melancholy, too—of Mozart’s concerto comes to life via the magical sound of the fortepiano, the instrument for which Mozart composed this work. You’ll especially relish the last movement, which incorporates the song of Mozart’s pet starling! It has been 155 years since H+H performed the glorious “Reformation” symphony, with its stirring “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” finale.

David Stern, conductor
Emi Ferguson, flute
