Guest Presenter: Korean Cultural Society of Boston

This concert is presented by the Korean Cultural Society of Boston.

The Korean Cultural Society of Boston presents "Festival of Dance and Gugak” at Jordan Hall on Sunday, September 29 at 3 PM. Gugak (Korean Traditional Music) is inherently improvisational and can be seamlessly played with classical music, jazz, and contemporary music. The program includes authentic Gugak by six Master Gugak musicians from Korea (most of them are candidates for National Intangible Heritage Properties) as well as their collaborations with Boston Ballet principal and artist, cello improvisation, and Korean traditional three-drum dance.    The Festival is a rare opportunity to be enchanted by sounds of Gugak in addition to delicate and powerful dance movements.
