Pianist Sophia Shuya Liu, one of Mr. Dang Thai-Son’s top students, was born in Shanghai 2008. 16-year-old Sophia has already won 1st prizes at the USA Chopin International, the Ettlingen International in Germany, the 2023 Cooper International Piano Competitions, in addition to many other honors. Sophia has been featured on several media outlets including NBC and ABC News, Colombian National Television and Polish and Italian newspapers. In addition to playing the piano, Sophia also enjoys composition. She has composed dozens of piano works in recent years. A rising star to keep an eye on.
