Join New England Conservatory college and expanded education divisions for a fun-filled morning of music and stories! Featuring hands-on music making and crafts, along with NEC's annual showcase of musical storytelling programs that NEC college students have been performing in Boston area early-childhood classrooms throughout the year.  

Schedule of Events
10:00-10:30 am: Hands-on Musical Crafts and Activities
10:30-11:30 am: Musical Storytelling Showcase Performance, featuring NEC Musical Storytelling Fellows
11:30-12:00 pm: Interactive music making with Vanessa Trien, Director of Early Childhood, NEC Preparatory School

While programming is best suited for ages 2-8, all ages are welcome!  Free and open to the public!

A recognized trailblazer, NEC's Community Performances and Partnerships Program (CPP) is one of the premier programs in the nation for engaging conservatory students with their community through robust, meaningful partnership activities and high-quality training.

CPP interacts annually with close to 21,000 people through over 600 events that reach across ages, neighborhoods, ethnicities, and economic disparities in the city of Boston and beyond. CPP simultaneously provides NEC students with a crucial opportunity to explore what it means to be a musician living in and contributing to community life, within an atmosphere of supportive mentoring, professional development, and experiential learning.
