Chamber Music

Laura Blustien, chair

The NEC Preparatory School offers chamber ensembles for string, wind, brass, and piano players ages 8-18, both classical and jazz. Groups are determined by age, ability, and instrumentation. Each group receives 28 coaching sessions. Students are expected to participate in festival concerts each semester.

Chamber music is a great way for young musicians to work in an intense, collaborative environment with their peers, as well as receive valuable feedback and musical instruction from the group's coach.  Some of our NEC Prep chamber musicians continue to play and grow together for years.

Auditions will take place in September. To schedule an appointment, contact the Preparatory School office after August 15th at 617-585-1130.
