This spring, New England Conservatory fills the air with the sounds of piano trios, string quartets, and more, both day and night. Performers include NEC's faculty of chamber music superstars, and the students coached by these great artists.

This evening, cellist Paul Katz, who directs NEC's Professional String Quartet Training Program and the CelloBello website, performs with several of his favorite colleagues, including NEC faculty pianist Pei-Shan Lee, clarinetist Richard Stoltzman, and violinist Ian Swensen, who is a visiting professor at NEC this spring.

Paul Katz, cello, was a member for 26 years of the celebrated Cleveland Quartet, has played at the White House and on the Grammy Awards telecast.

Pei-Shan Lee, piano, has toured the U.S, Europe, Israel and Asia, in concert with some of the world's most distinguished string players.

Richard Stoltzman, clarinet, is a Grammy and Emmy Award winner and one of the world's most celebrated wind players.

Ian Swensen, violin, is a winner of two Naumberg Competitions, one in solo violin and the other in chamber music, teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory, and is guest professor at NEC this semester. Swensen will give a violin masterclass on March 14.
