Artists: Jonathan Biss (Piano), Paul Biss (Violin), Miriam Fried (Violin), Tessa Lark (Violin), Paul Biss (Viola), Kim Kashkashian (Viola), Marcy Rosen (Cello)

Great artists give free concerts at New England Conservatory—simply because they teach here.

Faculty violinist, violist, and conductor Paul Biss celebrates his 70th birthday with a recital played with family members who also happen to be renowned musicians - son Jonathan Biss, piano; wife Miriam Fried, violin - as well as NEC alumna Tessa Lark, violin; NEC faculty Kim Kashkashian, viola; and cellist Marcy Rosen, cello, who, like Fried, is a former member of the Mendelssohn Quartet.

In addition to the works listed here, the program will include selected works for violin by Fritz Kreisler.
