Margaret Mills ’59 M.M., is a pianist praised for her "impressive technique and strong emotive powers" (Joseph McLellan, The Washington Post), enjoys an international reputation, having performed throughout the United States, Europe and China. Awarded the Frances Walker Piano Prize upon graduation from Vassar College, she pursued her studies in Freiburg, Germany before returning to the United States to complete her Masters degree at NEC. She has studied under and been coached by such notable artist teachers as Frank Sheridan, Claude Frank, Eugene List and Jerome Lowenthal. Margaret Mills can now be heard on YouTube. 2011-06-15
Ann Myongsook Lee ’59 M.M., ’60 A.D. taught voice at Seoul National University until 1964 and then moved back to the States at taught at Virginia Commonwealth University and George Washington University until her retirement in 2000. Ms. Lee was also a visiting professor at Korea National University of Arts from 1994 to 1997. She has performed in Korea, Japan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand , Laos and in the US. She has two sons and two grandchildren and lives in a Washington DC suburb with her husband, David I. Steinberg. 2011-04-26
Carole Gelpi ’59, Vocal Performance, has been a professor of aviation for the past 21 years at The School of Aeronautics at InterAmerican University in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. She remains involved in music as a board member of the Association for the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra. 2010-08-24
