The 27th annual Composer's Celebration Concert hosted by Ron Della Chiesa. Tatyana Dudochkin, Artistic Director.

Stravinsky indeed!

For this unique version of "The Rite of Spring" we will have four outstanding pianists to perform the ground-breaking work: NEC professors of piano Alexander Korsantia and Meng-Chieh Liu; Maxim Mogilevsky; and Pavel Nersessian, professor at Moscow Conservatory and Boston University; special guest from Israel, percussionist Chen Zimbalista; and NEC Prep percussion faculty Luis Herrera Albertazzi.

This concert will be the Boston premiere of the "Spring Dance to Mimi" by Menachem Wiesenberg for percussion performed by Chen Zimbalista.

The program will continue with "Spring" from Vivaldi’s "Four Seasons" featuring world famous and superb NEC performers: Nicholas Kitchen, violin; Borromeo String Quartet; John Gibbons, harpsichord.

Soprano, Yelena Dudochkin—soloist of New Opera of NY, winner Golden Voices of America—and Tatyana Dudochkin, piano—founder and artistic director of this legendary concert series since 1991—will perform the Boston premiere of Thomas Adès's Virginia from Five Eliot Landscapes. They will also perform Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Spring Waters.

Sam Ou, cello; Ji-Won Song, violin; and Tatyana Dudochkin, piano will perform Spring from the Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla.

The concert will conclude with a grand waltz, "Voices of Spring" by Johann Strauss Jr., featuring Todos Dance Studio.

Our usual host, the wonderful Ron Della Chiesa (WCRB), will lead the concert.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the Jordan Hall Box Office, (617) 585-1260.
