Great artists give free concerts at New England Conservatory—simply because they teach here.
Violist and NEC faculty member Dimitri Murrath performs with pianist and current NEC D.M.A. candidate Vincent Planès. The program features Shostakovich's Sonata for viola and piano, which was the last piece he composed, finishing it only a few days before his death in 1975.
