Before pursuing an MBA, Ben was the Executive Director of Play On, Philly! the El Sistema-inspired program founded by Stanford Thompson '10. In this role, he oversaw the $1.5 million organization that breaks the cycles of school failure and poverty for more than 200 low-income children through an intensive music-based intervention.

Ben holds a Bachelor's Degree with Highest Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He previously served on the board of the Urban Affairs Coalition, a nationally recognized nonprofit that unites government, business, neighborhoods, and individual initiatives to improve the quality of life in the region, build wealth in urban communities, and solve emerging issues.
