NEC Kodály Music Institute
The NEC Kodály Music Institute (KMI) consists of three levels of increasing musical and pedagogical complexity. Upon successful completion of three certificate levels, the participant receives a nationally recognized Kodály Music Teacher's Certificate endorsed by the Organization of American Kodály Educators (OAKE). KMI is also closely linked in to the Boston Area Kodály Educators workshops.
NEC's Kodály Certification Program
The Kodály Music Institute at NEC is for music teachers, supervisors of music curriculum, solfège instructors, choral instructors, performers, musicologists, and church musicians. The main areas of study are pedagogy, solfège, conducting, materials analysis, and musicology.
Students may take individual courses or enroll in the more formal certificate program.
