NEC's 141st Commencement Exercises

Commencement ceremony for approximately 250 students graduating from NEC's College degree, diploma, and certificate programs and their families.

Speakers will include members of the NEC leadership and a student speaker, along with five honorary degree recipients: percussionist Alan Abel; NEC Wind Ensemble founder Frank Battisti; teaching artist Eric Booth; jazz pianist, singer and NEC alumnus Freddy Cole '56; and tenor George Shirley. Booth, who in recent years has devoted himself to furthering the El Sistema movement in the United States, will give the Commencement Address.

The public is welcomed to this event, based on available seats.
