Ottorino Respighi: Ancient Airs and Dances (premiere of Phil Snedecor arrangement for brass)
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Serenade No. 10 for Winds in B-flat Major, “Gran Partita”
Writing on the ChorusAmerica website, Janet Braccio called Toensing's Evening Prayers "a deep and moving choral work with universal appeal for healing and remembrance. This lush and beautiful setting of part of the Orthodox Liturgy of Great Compline combines ethereal modal harmonies with a melody based largely on Byzantine Tone 6. Beginning quietly and rising in graceful melodic curves to a soaring climax, Evening Prayers envelopes the audience in a mood of still, worshipful awe."
