Wednesday, December 7, 2011 | 6:30 - 8:30pm
Experience the sound of the world's great concert halls without leaving your seat! Join Kathleen Stetson ’06 M.M., (Vocal Performance) Acoustical Consultant at Arup, for an aural tour of the art and science of architectural acoustics.

Then join her for a demonstration of the Arup SoundLab, a 3D listening environment that enables clients, architects, and musicians to hear their space before it is built and compare it to halls like Vienna’s Musikvereinssaal and Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw.
Arup Acoustics is one of the world’s largest independent acoustic consulting and design firms. With projects all over the world, including the Oslo, Copenhagen, and Glyndebourne opera houses, Arup is known for innovative and sensitive solutions to challenges in room acoustics, building acoustics, and audiovisual design.
