Percussion & Harp Private Lessons

NEC Prep Harp Student at a LessonDan Bauch, Percussion Department Chair

Rebecca Bogers, NEC Prep Director & Harp Faculty

Private instruction is the foundation of a sound musical education. At NEC Prep, the depth and expertise of our faculty assure a great match for our students' individual needs. A unique feature of our percussion & harp private lesson program is that it includes the opportunity to participate in evaluations and our annual concerto competition, which offer every student valuable performance experience and feedback from a variety of teachers. Harpists enrolled in private lessons are eligible to participate in the string department's biweekly workshop and recitals program.

Private lessons of 30, 45, and 60 minutes are offered for students of all levels (including beginners!) in all the categories listed under faculty. Prospective percussion & harp students must set up an audition or placement interview with their respective department chair (Dan Bauch for Percussion or Rebecca Bogers for Harp), who will advise each student personally regarding an appropriate studio teacher placement and path of study. For information on teacher placement interviews and scheduling an appointment with your department chair, please contact the Prep office.

For information on how to get started, please click here. Private lessons can begin at any time during the school year.
