Interdisciplinary composer and life coach, Mattia Maurée ’14 MM creates art that explores perception, sensation, trauma, and resilience. They earned a Master of Music in Composition at New England Conservatory studying with Malcolm Peyton, where John Heiss called their music "bold, adventurous, powerful and elegant."​

Congratulations to Dr. Ian Howell ‘16 DMA, Voice Faculty and Vocal Pedagogy Director at NEC, for his achievement in winning the 2022 Van Lawrence Fellowship, an international award for interdisciplinary work in voice science and applied voice.
Phoenix Orchestra
The partnership marks a series of firsts: the first performance of the orchestra at Jordan Hall on March 27, the debut of Music Director and NEC alumnus Joshua Weilerstein, and the start of administrative and composition fellowships between NEC and the Orchestra.
