Welcome to the ResHall!
The NEC Residence Hall (aka ResHall) is located at 33 Gainsborough Street directly across from Jordan Hall. Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page to learn more about living in the Residence Hall.
All incoming undergraduate students, including transfers, are required to live in the Residence Hall for their first year. Undergraduate students who are married, over age 21, or living at home with parent(s) at their permanent address in the Boston area may request an exemption from this requirement.
Current prices for Room and Board can be found here.

Living in the Residence Hall at NEC gives you an opportunity to create your own unique living space. Below are just a few photos showcasing how NEC students are currently dressing up their on-campus spaces!
Returning Resident Housing Lottery
Every year we must reserve between 90 and 110 beds for incoming freshman. Returning students are not required to live in the Residence Hall and therefore are not guaranteed a space. For those interested in returning, you are given the opportunity to select your space and/or roommate. All those submitting a request will be placed into a random lottery to determine the order of preference. Although our Residence Hall is old, we love it here. It is essential that every resident contribute to building and maintaining a safe, respectful and friendly community in the Residence Hall. We look forward to having you back for another year!
