NEC's Youth Philharmonic Orchestra toured Iceland in June 2015 under the direction of David Loebel, where they performed music by Chadwick, Gandolfi, Chausson, and Rimsky-Korsakov!

All of the orchestras perform at least twice each year in NEC's Jordan Hall. Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (YPO) and Youth Symphony (YS) are both touring ensembles. Recent tour destinations have included Iceland, Ireland, Norway, and Spain. In February 2019, YS travelled to Italy, and in June 2019, YPO travelled to Central Europe.
NEC Prep offers an array of Baroque Ensembles, consisting of up to 20 members each, which play music composed before 1750. Students play on modern instruments but learn about Baroque technique and aesthetic. Click on the links below to find out more information about the individual ensembles.
