NEC Preparatory School offers an array of Baroque Ensembles, consisting of up to 20 members each. The ensembles all play music composed before 1750. Students play on modern instruments, but learn about Baroque technique and aesthetic. The Baroque Ensembles are open to strings, woodwind, brass, and piano players.

Audition Information
The NEC Prep Baroque Ensembles hold auditions each May for the following academic year. Baroque Ensemble auditions are not held for individual ensembles, rather students are placed into an orchestra based on their audition. We begin scheduling May auditions in March of each year. Fall auditions are available on a space-availability basis.
