Julian Rhee Wins 1st at Elmar Oliveira Violin Competition
Second year violinist Julian Rhee ’22 has won first prize at the 2020 Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition, which includes a $30,000 cash prize as well as significant career development opportunities.
Second year violinist Julian Rhee ’22 has won first prize at the 2020 Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition, which includes a $30,000 cash prize as well as significant career development opportunities.
Julian also won the $2,500 Community Engagement prize, for which finalists gave an interactive presentation to elementary school children.
For his winning performance in the final round, Julian performed Saint-Saëns's Violin Concerto No. 3 in B Minor.
