The Massachusetts Youth Wind Ensemble (MYWE) is open to advanced high school-age (grades 10-12) woodwind, brass, percussion, harp, double bass and piano players. Auditions are generally at the level of All-State auditions. This is the senior level wind ensemble at NEC Prep and is a touring ensemble. In June 2014, Sr. MYWE toured to Ireland and then traveled to the Czech Republic in June of 2016.
Rehearsals: Friday, 4:15 PM - 6:15 PM (before Thanksgiving), 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM (after Thanksgiving)
MYWE Tours
Sr. MYWE goes on tour every other year. The most recent tour to Southern France occurred in February of 2020 and included performances in Lyon, Arles, and Nice. Other recent tour locations include Ireland, Prague, and Italy.
