Restrung: Belonging As The Longing to Be
Drawing from his memoir, Restrung, Vijay Gupta explores what it means to build a life in music beyond the traditional measures of achievement, virtuosity, and success. Through stories from the concert stage, Skid Row, and Street Symphony — alongside live music with the Darshan Trio — this conversation, moderated by Erik Elmgren, NEC’s Assistant Dean of Community Engagement and Teaching Artistry, asks how musicians might build lives rooted not only in excellence, but in relationship, curiosity, and belonging.
