Summer Orchestra Institute
Session 1: July 6–19, 2025
Session 2: July 20–August 2, 2025
NEC’s Summer Orchestra Institute is a four-week full symphony orchestra program open to intermediate- to advanced-level strings, brass, winds, and percussion students between the ages of 13-18.
Summer Chamber Music Intensive
August 3–9, 2025
The Summer Chamber Music Intensive is a fully-funded program open to advanced students aged 14–18 who play the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, violin, viola, cello, and piano. All students receive full-tuition scholarships.
Conservatory Audition Workshop

The Conservatory Audition Workshop focuses exclusively on helping students prepare for college auditions. Participants work with teachers from top schools around the country, consult with admissions counselors, take daily mock auditions, and much more in an intense week of audition preparation.
Jazz Lab

Jazz Lab is a week-long creative music program with a unique, customized approach. Musicians aged 13-18 work with world-class faculty and guest artists in small ensembles, instrumental workshops, and masterclasses and enjoy incredible performances.
