NEC Welcomes New Dean of Students & Campus Life

August 16, 2021

Christina Davis

NEC is pleased to announce the appointment of Christina Davis as NEC’s Dean of Students and Campus Life. Christina officially joined the NEC community earlier this month in the Office of Student Services, and NEC is thrilled to have her in this essential role.

Christina has an extensive background as a student affairs professional, having spent more than 20 years in residential education and housing operations positions at a range of institutions, including Syracuse University, the University of Vermont, Temple University, Princeton University, MIT, and the University of Southern California, ultimately serving as the Associate Dean of Campus and Residential Life for the then newly merged Berklee College of Music/The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Christina describes her upbringing and education as follows:

“A Jersey girl with southern roots, I grew up as the youngest in a multigenerational, large, and loud family. I remained in New Jersey for college, attending The College of New Jersey, where I completed a B.A. in English and a minor in Women and Gender Studies, and was introduced as a Community Advisor to my eventual career in student affairs. I went off to Michigan State University (GO GREEN!) and completed my M.A. in Student Affairs Administration.”

Christina has a deep understanding of the needs of conservatory students. She brings warmth, long experience, good humor, and compassion to her work. Welcome to NEC, Christina!
