Senior Massachusetts Youth Wind Ensemble

Open to advanced high school-age (grades 10-12) woodwind, brass, percussion, harp, double bass and piano players. This is a touring ensemble. In June 2012, Sr. MYWE toured to Poland. They will tour again in June 2014.

Rehearsals: Friday, 4:15 PM - 6:30 PM (before Thanksgiving), 4:30 PM - 7 PM (after Thanksgiving)

MYWE Tours

June of 2014 marks yet another tour for the Massachusetts Youth Wind Ensemble (MYWE). This summer we will be embarking on a nine-day tour to Ireland with stops in Dublin and Westport in the Republic of Ireland as well as a stop in Derry (Londonderry) in Northern Ireland. We will perform three full ensemble concerts as well as a few chamber ensemble performances throughout our time abroad. Some scenic highlights of our tour will include St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin Castle, and St. Stephen's Green where we will perform a concert at the band shell in Dublin, a visit to the Tower Museum in Derry (Londonderry), and a scenic route along the Cliffs of Moher on our journey from Westport to Limerick.

MYWE goes on tour every other summer. In June 2014, MYWE traveled to Ireland. MYWE will tour again in June 2016.
