More about private lessons

Welcome to the SCE Strings Department!

We are a vibrant and supportive community of professional musicians and students of all levels and from all walks of life. Our intent is to foster and develop musical skills in a nurturing environment that is also appropriately challenging and caring. Whether you are a beginner with lifelong dreams of playing the cello, a moderately proficient violinist interested in improving your technique, or an advanced violist wanting to eventually apply to a music conservatory or play a solo recital in Carnegie Hall, we have inspiring teachers dedicated to meet your needs and help you along your musical journey.

Please join us at our regular string workshops that we host every semester. All workshops are free and open to the public. Come meet and listen to current students and get to know our attentive and knowledgeable faculty. We look forward to getting to know you and to start or continue your musical journey with you this year!
