More about private lessons

Welcome to the SCE Strings Department! We are a vibrant and supportive community of professional musicians and students of all levels and from all walks of life. Our intent is to help foster and develop musical skills in a nurturing environment that's also appropriately challenging and caring. Whether you're a beginner with lifelong dreams of playing the cello, a moderately proficient violinist interested in improving your technique, or an advanced violist wanting to eventually apply to a music conservatory, we have inspiring teachers dedicated to meeting your needs and helping you through your musical journey. Please check us out at our regular string workshops that we host every semester. We look forward to hearing from you!

A note on Summer 2020 online learning:

Whether online or in-person we remain dedicated to your growth as musicians and to keeping our community connected.

We are actively arranging virtual one-on-one placement meetings with our Department Chairs who are excited to get to know you and your musical aspirations.
