Violinist Maria Ioudenitch '20 MM, '22 AD, and cellist Gabriel Martins '21 MM

Violinist Maria Ioudenitch ’20 MM, ’22 AD, and cellist Gabriel Martins ’21 MM, are the winners of multiple recent competitions.

Two rising stars from the NEC community have made a new stride in their musical careers by signing to the Opus 3 Artists roster, a career management group for the performing arts: violinist Maria Ioudenitch ’20 MM, ’22 AD, and cellist Gabriel Martins ’21 MM.

Ioudenitch, a 2020 alumna of the NEC graduate program in violin and current Artist Diploma candidate, is the winner of multiple competitions in the past year including the Ysaÿe, Tibor Varga, and Joseph Joachim International Violin Competitions. The latter prize came with a recording deal with Warner Classics, who will release Ioudenitch’s debut album later this year.

Martins, a 2021 alumnus of the NEC graduate program in cello, is another winner of multiple recent competitions, including the 2020 Concert Artists Guild–Young Classical Artists Trust Grand Prize, the 2020 Sphinx Competition Gold Medal, the David Popper International Cello Competition Gold Medal, and many more. Martins has debuted at Carnegie Hall, among other major venues, and is also a composer and arranger.

Congratulations to Maria and Gabriel!
