Biographical Sketch

Margaret M. Hogan (Bowler) was born on August 21,1908 in Worcester, daughter of Michael and Ann (Davoren) Hogan, and lived in Worcester most of her life. She attended the New England Conservatory beginning in 1925 and earned her diploma in voice as a teacher in June 1929.

Mrs. Bowler was a charter member and past-president of the New England Conservatory Alumni Club of Worcester County. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and president of its Women's Guild. She was president of the Friday Afternoon Club of Worcester, a member of the Children's Fund Players, a member of the Worcester Women's Club, the Worcester Music Guild, and a volunteer at Assumption College. She enjoyed music, traveling, and playing bridge.

Margaret Hogan Bowler passed away on October 10, 2002 at the age of 94. She leaves behind a son, William F. Bowler of Hamilton; and a granddaughter, Caitlin Bower of Hamilton. Her husband, Francis Bowler, pre-deceased her in 1980.
