Joel Yennior

Joel Yennior is a trombonist, composer, and educator currently residing in the greater Boston area. As a member of the Grammy-nominated Either/Orchestra since 1998, Joel has recorded five albums and a DVD, and has toured the USA, Canada, Africa, and Europe. Yennior is also a founding member of the critically acclaimed jazz quartet Gypsy Schaeffer, and has produced three CDs with the group. As a member of the Either/Orchestra, Joel has recorded five albums and a DVD, and has toured the USA, Canada, Africa, and Europe. “Big City Circus,” released in 2010, was Yennior’s recording debut as a leader, and was described as “soul music” by renowned author and NEA Jazz Master, Nat Hentoff. Yennior currently serves on the faculties of the New England Conservatory, the Westwood Public Schools (MA), and Brandeis University.
