Eli Block is a versatile trumpet player and educator based in Boston. He serves on the faculty as a Jazz Trumpet Instructor for the New England Conservatory Expanded Education division. Eli performs regularly throughout New England with groups including the BT/ALC Big Band, the Eli Block Quintet, and the Henry Godfrey Jazz Orchestra.

He has performed with renowned artists, including Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Johnny Mathis, Gunhild Carling, and the Grammy-winning 8-Bit Big Band. In 2022, he was invited to be a Visiting Artist at St. Olaf College, where he led two masterclasses and performed as a featured soloist with the jazz bands. Block received his Master’s degree in Jazz Performance from New England Conservatory and his Bachelor’s degree in Trumpet Performance from St. Olaf College. He is a member of the Jazz Education Network (JEN).
