You’ll Sing a Song and I’ll Sing a Song

The CMA Student Concert “You’ll Sing a Song and I’ll Sign a Song” is an exploration into children’s music and the people and performers it shapes us to become. Works include Raffi’s Bananaphone, What Did You Learn In School Today? by Pete Seeger, as well as an array of original music and personal favorites from CMA students’ childhoods. This concert wishes to pay particular homage to Ella Jenkins, the pivotal First Lady of children’s music who revolutionized the genre with her usage of “call and response”
