Join the Undergraduate Opera Studio for an evening of opera's greatest scenes. Chock-filled with tragedy and comedy, these short scenes are perfect for aficionados and newbies alike!
The Undergraduate Opera Studio (UGOS) is a unique, auditioned program at NEC exclusively for undergraduate voice majors who have successfully completed their first-year promotional exam. Designed as an introduction to the art of opera and lyric theater, UGOS cultivates foundational performance skills while introducing students to the discipline and expectations of the professional singing world. The Undergraduate Opera Studio is led by Artistic Director Michael Meraw.
Stage direction for these opera scenes is by Steven Goldstein. Music direction by Justin Williams
